Estimated Cost of Attendance

Cost of Attendance (COA) is the amount of money it will cost to attend school. This number is made up of both direct and indirect costs that a student may reasonably incur while attending throughout the year. The COA will vary based on housing plans, residency type, and program of study. Below you will find the budgets for Undergraduate, Western Undergraduate Exchange,  Graduate, and Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) students. To see how your anticipated Federal, State, and Institutional aid will reduce these costs please use the Net Price Calculator.

Undergraduate Student Budget

The regular academic year consists of three terms or quarters. The estimated cost of education below is for undergraduate students for the academic year (9 months) paying the Basic tuition rate. The tuition and fees estimates for undergraduate students are based on 15 credits per term. Actual tuition billing may vary based on number of credits taken, any associated course fees and the year you began enrollment at WOU.

PLEASE NOTE: Accounting and Business Services (ABS) does not send bills to parents/guardians or communicate with parents/guardians directly. Students are responsible for their WOU charges, and any financial information must be passed from student to parent/guardian. ABS employees may talk with parents/guardians only after the student has completed a Student Consent to Release Information Form each academic year. Even after the form is signed, ABS does not initiate contact with parents/guardians.

Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE)

The Western Undergraduate Exchange Program (WUE) offers students from participating western states and designated majors the opportunity to enroll at a reduced tuition level, 150 percent of resident tuition plus fees. The tuition and fees estimates for undergraduate students are based on 15 credits per term. Actual tuition billing may vary based on number of credits taken, any associated course fees and the year you began enrollment at WOU.

To find out more visit the WUE Web page, prospective students may contact the Office of Admissions at 503-838-8211 or toll-free 1-877-877-1593.
