Once per week only classes:

  • Classes meeting at 4:00 pm or later, will have their examination during the final week at their regular day, time and room, unless otherwise notified by their instructor.
  • When the first class meeting of the week is noted as Wednesday, this refers to classes that meet on Wednesdays and Fridays but not on Mondays.

Hybrid and Online classes:

  • Hybrid class examination day, time, and room (if applicable) is determined by the hour and day for the first weekly class meeting (lecture).
  • Online class examinations are typically taken online, but a room for an in-person examination may be requested. In the case of in-person examinations the instructor is responsible for:
    • Ensuring that the exam day and time do not conflict with students’ other in-person examinations. Alternate exam options must be made available to resolve any conflicts that are identified.
    • Requesting a room in a timely manner. Note, although the utmost effort will be made to find a suitable room on the day and time requested it may not be possible to accommodate specific requests. Please request your room early in the process.

  • If you are scheduled for four exams on one day, contact your instructors to try to arrange an alternate test date for some of those courses. If this does not resolve the problem, then contact the Registrar for help.
  • You are responsible for knowing the correct room for your finals. If unsure, check with your instructor.
  • Final exams may NOT be given during dead week. If you have a class that has a final exam prior to finals week, then contact Dr. Mark Girod, Dean of the College of Education, or Dr. Kristin Latham-Scott, Interim Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
