Spring Break 2026
All Residence Halls will be closed from 5pm, Friday March 20
through Noon, Sunday March 29.
- The University Housing office will remain OPEN throughout the break: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
- The Residential Service Center (RSC) will be open limited hours: Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27 1pm-5pm.
The RSC will resume back to normal hours on Sunday, March 29. - There is a $35 per access fee should you forget anything and need to get back into your room to get it.
You must first submit a petition to the Housing Office to request access to your room. - Please email any Meal Plan change requests to housing@wou.edu before you leave for the break.
DEADLINE: Noon, Friday, March 27. - Deadline for Winter term room changes: Friday, March 6.
- Deadline for requesting to buyout your Double room if you have a vacancy: Friday, March 20.
Email your request to housing@wou.edu - Spring classes begin Monday, March 30.
- Valsetz Dining Hall & The Summit will be closed for spring break.

- Valsetz Dining Hall will close at 2pm Friday, March 20.
- Valsetz will open for Dinner on Sunday, March 29 from 4pm-7pm.
- The C-store will be open on Sunday, March 29 from 3pm-7pm.
- Cafe Allegro will open during the break: March 23-27 from 8am-1pm.

If there is a Vacancy in your room/apartment- it must be roommate ready or you will be charged the higher Super-Single rate. There should not be anything on or in the other dresser, desk, wardrobe, or bed.
LEAVING CAMPUS FOR THE BREAK?
If you will not be staying on campus for any portion of the break, you do not need to complete any forms. You must leave the halls by 5pm Friday, March 20, 2026 or 24 hours after your last final, whichever comes first.
Only take home the items you will need for the break, the rest of your belongings can stay in your room as you will be returning to the same room after break. You will hold onto your room keys, so please do not lose them or forget them at home when returning after the break is over.

You can return to your room starting at Noon on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
STAYING ON CAMPUS FOR THE BREAK?
All residents who plan to LEAVE LATE, RETURN EARLY, or stay the ENTIRE BREAK you must complete the Spring Break Stayover Form by 4pm March 18, 2026. Starting March 2nd the Spring Break sign up will be available on your Housing Overview, from the main menu select Spring Break. You will be able to stay in your current room for the break. If you are not enrolled for Spring term classes AND not planning to live on campus next term, you are not eligible to stay for any portion of the break- please contact the housing office for checkout instructions.

A $100 Spring Break Stayover fee will be charged to students accounts to stay on campus for any portion of the break. Except for Arbor Park residents, they will not be charged, but they must still sign up to stay.
How To Prep Your Room Before Leaving For Break
To avoid any fines and policy violations, do everything on the list below BEFORE you leave:
- Unplug everything, except microfridges. Arbor Park residents, do not unplug your full-size refrigerator.
- Remove any window decorations/coverings.
- Close and lock windows and close your blinds.
- Throw away any perishables that will go bad before you return.
- Remove all personal belongings from bathrooms and other common areas.
- Empty and remove all trash/recycling.
- Report any maintenance issues by submitting a work order.
- Pick your personal items up off the floor- should there be any leaks or issues with pipes this will help protect your personal items from water damage.
- Set your heater to the 1st setting.
- Turn off the lights and close your door, making sure it locks behind you.
NEED TO MOVE OUT?
For students who will not be returning to live on campus for Spring Term, you must submit a Petition to the housing office for approval to break your residential contract. If approved, your checkout must be completed by 5pm Friday, March 20, 2026.
Note: Cancellation fees for breaking your Housing Contract may apply.
Improper checkout fee is $150.
