See below for a description!

ProConnect Events

Farewell to the traditional career fair. Want to meet and connect with students in a more meaningful way? Try ProConnects! This is a fun, educational, and connection-oriented version of a career fair where you’ll get a chance to meet WOU students in small group settings and students then get to enjoy a professional panel presentation (hosted by us) over a quick meal. Students will get to learn about your business and the opportunities you have while building genuine connections.

ProChats

ProChats are three-day events for professionals to meet and chat with students for short or extended amounts of time. Each ProChat event is themed based on a specific career industry, and each day will host a different set of career experts. While more “casual” than our other events, students get to learn more about a certain industry while also learning how to chat with professionals about various career topics.

Education Fair

At WOU, we connect teaching and learning both in our classrooms and in schools, and we’re proud that our graduates are some of the most sought after in Oregon and the Northwest. We encourage recruiters attending the Oregon Educators Fair to join us the day before on WOU’s campus for more personalized engagement with Oregon’s top talent. Don’t forget to register early as this event fills up quickly!

Career Connect Events

Career Connects events are excellent opportunities for professionals to network with and offer flash-mentorship for current WOU students. We typically host 2-3 of these events each term and they are targeted towards specific industries and career pathways (i.e., Accounting & Finance, Health Careers, Careers in Tech, etc.).  We invite students to join us for brief (5-10 minute) conversations with different professionals over the course of an hour so that they may hopefully explore their curiosity and even a potential career path they might pursue. These are engaging and fun events and are typically held at the end of the work day.

Criminal Justice & Government Services Career Fair

This fair is geared to students and agencies within the Criminal Justice field. WOU’s Criminal Justice program combines strong liberal arts curriculum with a rigorous set of core classes and specialized elective coursework in law enforcement, corrections, and community crime prevention. Graduates of our programs seek employment at the municipal, county, state or federal level in a variety of fields, as well as private agencies. Come meet our highly qualified students who are ready to take their career to the next level!

Health & Exercise Science (HEX) Fair

This fair is geared towards students and organizations within the health and exercise science fields. WOU’s Health and Exercise Science programs  prepare students for a variety of professions and continuing education endeavors through the use of a  supportive experiential learning degree component which gets students out of the classroom and into the offices and clinics of local health organizations. Join us for HEX day to meet qualified students!
