New Student Week:                                                September 20-26, 2021
Fee Payment for First-Year & Transfer Students:    September 24, 2021
Classes Begin:                                                         September 27, 2021
Homecoming Week:                                                 October 5-9, 2021
Finals Week:                                                           December 6-10, 2021
Residence Halls Close:                                             5 p.m., December 10, 2021
WINTER TERM 2021:

Note: Due to COVID-19 Move In Day for Winter Term subject to change. 

*Move-In Day:                January 2, 2022 Noon – 5 p.m.
Classes Begin:                January 3, 2022
Last Day to pay Fees:     January 5, 2022
– without late fee or interest charge

(Fee payment for all students is January 4-8, 2021)

MLK Jr. Day:                   January 17, 2022

Finals Week:                   March 14-18, 2022
Residence Halls Close:     March 18, 2022
SPRING TERM 2021:

Arbor Park Closes:           June 11, 2022, 4:30 p.m.

VACATIONS AND BREAKS 2021-2022
Thanksgiving Break:  November 25-28, 2021
Winter Break:            5 p.m. December 10, 2021 through Noon, January 2, 2022

NOTE:  The Western Oregon University Campus is often closed in December leading up to the New Year. Please check back for closure dates for this year.

Spring Break:            5 p.m. March 19, 2022 through Noon, March 27, 2022

* Please Note:  You will be charged for the first 10 days of room and board if you do not properly check-out of your room before move-in day of the following term.
Deadlines are as follows:

  • WINTER TERM: 4 pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2020
  • SPRING TERM:  4 pm, Thursday, March 24, 2022

Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
