MOVE OUT INFORMATION
Spring 2025 End Of Year Check-Out
Check-Out Basics
- June 2nd – 7th: Attend Closing Community Meeting – please see your RA for details.
- June 2nd – Check your email for the link to sign up online for a check out day and time.
- If you sign up for an Express Check Out: Express Check Out envelopes are available with the RAs on duty or at the Residential Service Center (RSC).
- Check out appointments are June 4th – June 13th (through June 14th for Arbor Park). Please go to the RSC at your appointment time. An inspection of your room will be completed and you will turn in your keys to the RA.
- You should plan to check out of your room within 24 hours after your last final – or before you building closes – whichever comes first.
- Ackerman, Heritage, & Landers: Closes at 5pm on Friday, June 13th, 2025
- Arbor Park Apartments: Closes at 4:30pm on Saturday, June 14th, 2025
PLEASE NOTE: Students checking out late will be charged $25 for every half hour after the deadline.
We cannot accomodate checkouts past the day the halls and the apartments close. Please plan accordingly.
Things to Remember:
- Red carts are available for check out at the RSC.
- Check all drawers, shelves, and under your bed before moving out. Don’t leave anything behind!
- Move furniture back to its original position.
- Thoroughly clean your room. Extra cleaning charges may apply if your room is left messy. See your RA if you need to check out a vacuum.
- The Residential Service Center closes at 5:00 pm, Friday, June 13th. Don’t forget to check your mailbox and pick up any packages. Change your default address on your commonly used shopping websites. We are not able to forward packages, they will get sent back to the sender.
- DO NOT try to fix/repair something on your own. It will be more costly for our Maintenance team to fix your repair.
- Valsetz Dining Hall closes Friday, June 13th at 2:00 pm.

For those staying over the summer, you will NOT need to sign up for a check-out appointment.
University Housing will email you as it gets closer with instructions on moving into your summer room.
