Five Steps to Move-In Week

Housing Logo

MOVE IN WEEK . . .
it is coming – GET READY FOR IT!

GO FROM RESERVING YOUR SPACE TO MOVE-IN WEEK In just 5 easy steps – See How to BELOW

Step 1

ONCE ADMITTED TO WOU:

  • RESERVE A SPACE ON CAMPUS. This just tells us that you want a space on campus and makes you eligible to CHOOSE YOUR SPECIFIC ROOM or APARTMENT – AS WELL AS YOUR ROOMMATE LATER IN THE YEAR.
  • Access the Housing Reservation form via your Housing Overview page. You will receive a confirmation email upon submitting your Reservation.
Step Two of Five towards Move-In Day

ONCE YOUR RESERVATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED:

    • MARCH. LOOK FOR AN EMAIL (Check your WOU email) FROM HOUSING ABOUT USING OUR ROOMMATE MATCHING SYSTEM TO FIND YOUR PERFECT ROOMMATE. (Generally routed in Mid-March)
    • MARCH 12.  LOOK FOR AN EMAIL (Check your WOU email) FROM MY COLLEGE ROOMIE INVITING AND INSTRUCTING YOU ON HOW TO ACCESS THEIR SYSTEM TO FIND AND MATCH WITH YOUR PERFECT ROOMMATE! Roommates matched in the MCR system roll overnight into our housing system and set you up to pull in or be pulled into your room/apartment selection in May!

Step 3 of 5 towards Move In Day

    CHECK YOUR HOUSING OVERVIEW TO:

    • MAY. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ROOMMATE IS CONFIRMED. (Only confirmed roommates will be pulled into a chosen space).
    • SEE YOUR START DATE/TIME. (Take note of this and make plans to be able to access the system as soon as possible after your start time starts. The sooner you access the less competition you will have for selecting a spot as there are start-times starting continuously before and after you for about a week).
    • Selection will run daily 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. starting July 14 and running through approximately July  21st. After this date selection will be available 24-7 until the end of August.
Step 4 of 5 towards Move In Day

      CONTRACTS ARE DUE:

      • LATE JULY / LATE AUGUST. CONTRACTS AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION CONTACT FORMS will be available on Housing Overview pages for review and to electronically submit. Submission is tentatively set this year for 5:00 p.m., August 28th.
      • ON CAMPUS ADDRESSES ARE RELEASED on Housing Overview pages after Labor Day.
      Step 5 - It's Move-In Day!

      FALL MOVE-IN WEEK!

      • SEPTEMBER. FALL TERM IS KICKED OFF as residential students move into their rooms/apartments by appointment during the week of September 21 through September 27 (tentative).
      • CHECK-IN IS will tentatively run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., by appointment through Sunday, September 27, 2020. Students report to the hall to which they have been assigned to check in.
