How You Can Help Current WOU Students

WOU Alumni

Share.Connect.Mentor.

The Service Learning and Career Development Office offers a variety of ways for Western Oregon University alumni to share their knowledge and experience to help current students in their career decision-making. Below are some of the ways in which you can help the SLCD and WOU studnets.

SHARE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

SLCD hosts a number of events and opportunities for alumni to share their academic and career experiences. Whether it is a networking event, mentor-program, or career fair, alumni are often the most sought after professionals for current students to connect with.

If you are interested in opportunities like this, follow the WOU SLCD page on LinkedIn.

POST JOBS AND/OR INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Post job and/or internship opportunities in your organization for Western students.

Contact the Human Resources department in your place of employment or business regarding recruiting at Western Oregon University

For more on how to post an internship/job/volunteer opportunity for Western students, visit our WolfLink page.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER FOR SLCD EVENTS

We are always looking for alumni who can volunteer to help with our events. Alumni can help conduct mock interviews, be a table host at an etiquette dinner, host a tour of their company or organization, provide job shadowing opportunities, or serve as a panelist/presenter.  Connect with our director, Adry Clark, for more resources and information on this! clarka@wou.eduTo indicate your interest in becoming a volunteer for any of these services, please contact our office.

Follow the WOU SLCD page on LinkedIn to stay in the loop on upcoming events.
