Important Dates and Deadlines

 

September
    • Degree Partnership Program application deadline for Fall term is three weeks prior to the start of the term.
    • Fall term disbursements start the week before Fall term begins.
October

 

    • October 1st | FAFSA® for the upcoming Fall term opens. Students are encouraged to submit this as early as possible. Click here to fill out the FAFSA®.
    • Fall term Census Date is the second Friday of the term.
November
December
    • Winter term disbursements start the week before Winter term begins.
January
    • Winter term Census Date is the second Friday of the term.
February
    • February 1st | WOU FAFSA® Priority deadline. *This has been changed to March 1st for the Academic year 2024-2025 ** 
      • Incoming students who submit the FAFSA® with WOU’s school code by today will be priority packaged.
    • February 15th | OSAC Early-Bird Scholarship Application closes at 5pm.
March
    • March 1st | WOU General Scholarship Application closes at 5pm.
      • Some departmental scholarships have application deadlines beyond March 1st.
      • WOU General Scholarship Committee review period.
      • OSAC Scholarship Application closes. Visit OSAC for more information.
    • Spring term disbursements start the week before Spring term begins.
    • Degree Partnership Program application deadline for Spring term is three weeks prior to the start of the term.
April
    • Financial Aid begins awarding Summer students after Summer registration opens.
    • Spring term Census Date is the second Friday of the term.
    • Federal Direct PLUS application opens for upcoming Fall term.
    • The Scholarship Officer begins notifying WOU General Scholarship recipients of their awards.
      • Award recipients are notified via student-email and must accept their award(s) by the deadline indicated in the notification.
May
    • May 1st | Admission Office’s Intent to Enroll deadline. Say “Yes!” to WOU now.
      • You are not required to have an official award letter from Financial Aid to declare your intent to enroll.
      • Use My FinAid to track your Financial Aid application status.
    • Degree Partnership Program application deadline for Summer term is three weeks prior to the start of the term.
June
    • Summer disbursements to start the week before Summer term begins.

In-person services are Monday through Thursday 8am to 5pm and Friday 10am to 5pm. **Walk-in appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the following days/times:

  • Monday, 9:00 am – Noon
  • Monday, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
  • Thursday, 2:00 – 4:00 pm
