Tuition Rate Decrease
Financial aid recipients at Western Oregon University may see a slight change to their financial aid packages for the 2017-18 award year as a result of WOU’s Board of Trustees’ decision to set the tuition increase at 6.5 percent instead of the expected 10 percent.
The change in the tuition rate will affect both resident undergraduate and WUE students, whose budget is based on 150 percent of the resident undergrad rate. All other tuition rates (undergrad non-resident and graduate resident/non-resident) will remain at the 10 percent increase.
Soon, the Financial Aid staff will begin reviewing student award offers to determine if an adjustment to individual awards are necessary to keep the aid offer within the overall revised cost-of-attendance budget.
Email notices will be sent to students affected by the budget change.
Additional information on the tuition rate change can be found online here and here.
