Professional Advisory Board (CJPAB)

The Criminal Justice Sciences Division Advisory Board (CJSDAB) is composed of local Criminal Justice professionals who serve as an advisory resource by providing key contributions to the Division.  

Board members represent the academic content areas of our programs in Courts, Corrections, Law Enforcement, Community Crime Prevention, Juvenile Justice, Forensic Anthropology, Homeland Security, and other key areas.

Advisory Board Responsibilities

CURRICULUM REVIEW

Ensures our curriculum and degree programs prepare students to meet the professional challenges and opportunities in the field of Criminal Justice.

PRACTICUM PARTNERSHIPS

Provides support and guidance in our internship/practicum programs and linkage to criminal justice organizations.

RESEARCH PARTNERSHIPS

Serves as a support resource for contemporary Criminal Justice research projects.

PRACTICAL EXPERTISE

Provides information on the latest practice and policy of Criminal Justice at the local, state, and federal level.

PROGRAM EVOLUTION

Helps the Division stay abreast of important and trending areas of Criminal Justice technology, training, and reform.

PROGRAM SUPPORT

Supports a CJSD Speakers Bureau for classes, career fairs, and other CJSD sponsored events.
