The inaugural WOU Fight Hunger Games is a food drive for the WOU Food Pantry. Admission is a donation of non-perishable, non-expired food, in any amount.
  • “The Nature of Things: WOU Art & Design Faculty Biennial” reception is today from 4-6 in the Cannon Art Gallery.
  • Dominque Vargas coordinates the WOU Hood to Coast team. If you are interested in driving, volunteering or running, please let her know. Hood to Coast is Aug. 28-29 this year.

To provide sufficient time for all the review steps (committee and Faculty Senate), the deadline for submitting curriculum proposals for inclusion in the next academic catalog is the second Thursday of February for course proposals, program changes and new certificates. New programs take longer to process.

Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
