Rewatching this now, I regret not saying the words ‘Black Lives Matter’ because standing in support is critical at this moment in time. I want to be perfectly clear that the College of Education stands for justice, equity, and inclusivity. We see it as our mission to prepare individuals for careers in service of these goals.

I’m proud of the way the College of Education stands in support of a better world and I look forward to the hard work ahead to accomplish our goals of a just society. Moments like this make it clear how important it is to stand by our values and how much more work we have to do.
