Gmail Send As @wou.edu Fix

A recent change to Gmail by Google has an impact on WOU users. If you previously set your email to send as username@wou.edu, Gmail may now refuse to send new messages from you with this error:

“You no longer have access to username@wou.edu. To send this email, choose a different from address and try again.”

Please follow the steps below to remove the “send as username@wou.edu” setting. This process will not impact your ability to receive email sent to either username@wou.edu or username@mail.wou.edu

1. Open your Gmail from the WOU Portal on a computer web browser
2. Click the ‘settings‘ (gear) icon in the top right
   
3. Click ‘See all settings‘
   
4. Click the ‘Accounts‘  heading
   
5. Click ‘delete‘ to the right of the ‘Send mail as’ entry for username@wou.edu
