Online Search Engines

WolfLink (also known as Handshake) is WOU’s database of job and internship opportunities, both on and off-campus. Local, national, and international employers post on our website seeking Western Oregon students and graduates.

Glassdoor is a free job and career community that offers an inside look at specific careers and companies/organizations. Review salaries, company reviews, interview questions, and more – all posted by employees, job seekers, and sometimes the companies themselves.

Indeed.com is the #1 job site worldwide, with over 250 million unique visitors per month. Indeed is available in more than 60 countries and 28 languages, covering 94% of global GDP.

LinkedIn has quickly established itself as not only a professional social network but an excellent way for students and recent grads to find great opportunities or get that foot in the door they didn’t know they needed.

USAJobs connects job seekers with federal employment opportunities accross the United States and around the world. From the Department of Agriculture to the Department of Education and beyond, you’ll find a variety of job and internship listings and can filter your search accordingly.

PDX Pipeline is a great Portland job resource. Listings including tech, design, advertising, service industry, office, temp jobs, and more!

LinkedIn can be used to connect directly with the professionals who are hiring interns as well as researching organizations and engaging with them.

Indeed.com also includes search options for internships.

Student Conservation Association (SCA) – America’s conservation corps.

Idealist.org connects organizations with people and vice versa. Idealist has a focus on social impact jobs/organizations and posts thousands of opportunities.

Oregon Professional Educator Fair brings together top school districts and outstanding teacher candidates for a valuable time of information sharing and interviewing.

American Association for Employment in Education has information on job fairs and a handbook on education job search.

Oregon School Boards Association has listed all education institutions around the state of Oregon in one easy to use location.  If you are interested in a specific district, or area, click on the link to learn more about them!

Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
