Create an Internship Program with WOU
Over 60% of internships result in a job offer to the student which makes them an excellent recruiting tool for your business. Whether you have an established internship program in place already or want to start one for the first time, we’d love to partner with you to get WOU students involved in your organization. Attend a Career Fair
We offer a variety of Career Fairs for our current students and alumni. Find out when our upcoming fairs are taking place and register from our event registration page found here.
Information Table
This option is the most flexible of all of our options! You select the date you want to visit, and the hours you would like to be here. Generally student traffic on campus is peak on Tuesdays, or Wednesdays – but not before 10am or after 3pm. Send your request to hansenj@wou.edu and she will take care of the rest. All you have to do is show up, decorate your provided table, and get ready to chat!
Host an Information Session or Visit a Classroom
Want to get noticed by students on campus? Provide food as you host an information sessions about internship, volunteer or job opportunities you have available. WOU’s high-quality catering can assist you in meal planning.
Classroom visits allow recruiters to connect with students and faculty. Our office can work with faculty to set up your classroom visit.
Post Jobs and Internships on WolfLink
WolfLink is your online connection to WOU students and alumni. WolfLink is powered by Handshake.
We recommend all companies post their open positions here so students begin to see your company name. You can list part-time jobs for students while they are in school, summer full or part-time jobs, internships, seasonal, or full time positions, and you can manage all applications through the system, or direct students to an alternative application site.
Participate in Career Connects, Mock Interviews, or Dinners
Each term, our staff hosts a career connect bringing together industry experts and targeted majors together to network. We welcome employers to become an active part of career connects.
Mock interviewing allows you to meet and network with students who may have an interest in your field, and it provides a way for you to give back and help in educating students in their professional development.
Become a table host at WOU’s annual Etiquette Dinner.
Have a WOU Alum at your company? Encourage them to share their professional insights with current WOU students at our World After WOU networking and educational evening.
Conduct On-Campus Interviews
You can conduct interviews with several WOU candidates on-campus in a short amount of time. Our office will reserve the room and schedule the interview time slots when provided with the names and contact information for the students.
