What is the Incidental Fee?

The Incidental Fee is a set amount that every student pays each term as part of Western Oregon University’s tuition and fees. The 2022-2023 Incidental Fee is a flat fee of $372.00 per term (Fall, Winter, Spring) for students attending classes on campus in Monmouth and $200.00 per term for students attending class fully on-line or off Monmouth campus. According to State regulations, the Incidental Fee pays for the student activities provided by three main areas:  Intercollegiate Athletics, Educational Activities, and the Student Union.  For Western Oregon University, this breaks down into the following funded areas:
