✐ Course Proposal Request

Course Proposal Request Form

Course Proposal Requests need to be submitted a week and a half prior to the start of the term you’re requesting. Each Course Proposal Request must contain the following:

✓ Course Proposal Request form
✓ Course Syllabi
✓ Instructor resume/cv

You can request the following courses:

ED638 – Graduate courses require at least 30 hours of student work (including at least 10 hours of direct instruction) per credit.  ED638 courses are expected to be representative of “graduate level” work. Instructors for Graduate courses must meet the following qualifications:

✓ Hold a minimum of a master’s degree in a related field
✓ Provide evidence of expertise in the content area

Graduate courses are required to use the A – D grading scale.  Instructors may issue an “X” grade if there is not sufficient basis on which to award a letter grade.

ED805 – Professional development courses require at least 10 hours of direct instruction per credit. Instructors for Professional Development courses must meet the following qualifications:

✓ Provide evidence of a minimum of 5 years related experience and expertise in the content area.

Professional Development courses are required to use the Pass/No Pass grading scale.

Note: Incomplete grades may not be assigned to students in a PACE course.

➤ Override Request

If your students are trying to register for two ED638 or two ED805 courses during the same term, they will need to have an Override Request.  Once the override has been issued, your student will receive an email letting them know that they can now register for that additional class.
