Get Involved with WOU Involve

Involve is WOU’s very own event calendar and student club software platform to help students Get Involved!

Getting involved at WOU goes beyond just attending classes. Campus experiences like joining clubs, attending events, volunteering, and participating in leadership or career programs help you build skills, meet new people, and make lasting memories. Involve FAQs

The WOU Involve platform is used primarily by student leaders to manage their clubs and organizations. They can track membership and officer positions, create forms, store documents, promote club activities, and check students into those activities.
Through Involve, you can also find a lot of useful information about your profile, student clubs and organizations, campus events, important forms, and co-curricular opportunities.

For questions about navigating through the platform’s features, refer to this Involve FAQ.

Your Involve Profile

Your profile keeps all your involvement in one place. You can view the points you’ve earned, see a history of events you’ve attended, and track your memberships in student organizations. You’ll also have easy access to forms you’ve submitted, making it simple to stay organized and manage your campus activities. Use your profile to keep up with your progress and find new opportunities to get involved!

Organizations

Discover clubs, cultural groups, academic societies, fraternities, sororities, and other student organizations through Involve. Joining a student organization is a great way to build leadership skills, meet new people, and get involved in campus life. You can also start a new club by submitting a registration form through Involve.

Events

Stay connected with everything happening at WOU by browsing events on Involve. You’ll find campus activities, club meetings, service projects, workshops, and more. Events are tagged by category, so it’s easy to search for leadership opportunities, professional development, diversity events, or even free food.

Forms

Find important forms for getting involved with clubs and student organizations, creating your own events, and applying for opportunities!

Forms Page Example

Opportunities

Opportunities reflect co-curricular learning opportunities through student involvement. They include “Service Hours” tracking, an incentive “Points” feature, a gamification feature called “Experiences”, and a feature called “Skills” that tracks the skills employers look for that can be developed through co-curricular involvement.

Other Points Programs

Besides Paw Points, you can also earn different Development Points by participating in leadership programs (Leadership Points), diversity and inclusion events (IDEA Points), and career readiness activities (Professional Points). These points recognize your growth in key areas through workshops, leadership programs, cultural events, and career readiness opportunities.

Service Hours and Volunteering

Use Involve to log your volunteer and community service hours for campus projects, local nonprofits, and philanthropy events. Service hours are a great way to give back, build your resume, and stay connected with service opportunities through WOU. You can even submit hours for service you complete outside of campus activities.
Service Hours are not listed under the Opportunities tab. Go to the Events page and click “Earn” to search for eligible activities.

WOU Experiences

Experiences work like achievements in video games. If certain conditions like event attendance, club membership, or submission of a form are met, you earn the Experience. Experiences might be silly or serious, but they always serve a greater purpose. Experiences are grouped into Experience Types. They may be limited to certain student groups, represent a theme, or lean heavily on a specific department.

Competencies and Skills

Involve helps you track important skills that employers value, like leadership, communication, and teamwork. As you participate in events and activities, you’ll complete different levels – from attending events to helping plan them. These competencies (groups of skills) show how your involvement is helping you grow and develop real-world skills beyond the classroom. Skills are the most important component of the CCT. They reflect the skills that employers are looking for that are not reflected on WOU’s academic transcript.

Co-Curricular Transcript

The Co-Curricular Transcript (CCT) is a downloadable document that showcases your involvement outside the classroom. It highlights your service hours, organization memberships, leadership roles, experiences, and skills you’ve completed during your time at WOU. The CCT helps you communicate your campus involvement to employers, internships, and graduate programs. You can access it anytime through your Involve profile under the “Share” tab, but be sure to download it before graduation, as it’s only accessible while you are enrolled.

By the Numbers

Your CCT will show the number of student organizations you were a member of, how many Experiences you completed, and how many Service Hours you performed, accrued over your entire time at WOU.

Skills

Lists the Competencies where at least one Skill level was completed

Experiences

Lists all Experiences you earn by name only. No description will be printed.

Memberships

Lists any clubs you joined and if you held an officer position. If you leave a club and rejoin later, the club will be listed twice on the CCT under different time periods.
