What do you like most about working at WOU: I love working with all of the students! I enjoy getting to know them. My goal is to make sure that each student receives the best treatment possible to ensure that they will continue to seek services at the SHCC.

What are your hobbies or interests: I love spending time with my husband and our 2 daughters. We are very involved with 4-H. I am a 4-H leader and my daughters show our horses, our dog, and their art and photography. I love reading and watching anything true crime related.

I wish more WOU students knew: About all of the services that our Student Health & Counseling Center offers. I often hear from them that they had no idea we offered some of the services we provide.

What do you like most about working at WOU: After my amazing experience here as a student, I love the people and campus that I get to work with on a daily basis. Working with students, and seeing their growth is easily the most rewarding part of my job.

Hobbies or Interests: Family time with my wife, son, and pets. I enjoy cooking, playing golf, camping, and projects around our house. I enjoy watching the Portland Trailblazers and Denver Broncos.

Scott Perfect

Title:  Counseling Director

Education and Certifications;  BA in Psychology from Boise State University; MAEd in Counseling Psychology from College of Idaho;  Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon;  National Certified Counselor

Scott has experience in individual, group, and couples counseling and has worked with college students as a counselor, advisor, and instructor for over 20 years.  He works in a trauma informed manner and has experience in addictions, mental illness, personal growth, and relationship work.
