Chemistry Teacher Education (68)
This program has been designed specifically for students that want to become middle school or high school science teachers. It provides an interdisciplinary background in the natural sciences with an emphasis in Chemistry. This program does NOT lead to a Chemistry Degree, but it can lead to an Education Degree and needs to be taken in concert with the middle/high or high only authorizations program in the College of Education. Pre-education coursework should be taken concurrently with the Chemistry Teacher Education Option coursework listed below in the first three years of college. Usually, the 4th or final year of college is dedicated to the professional education core coursework listed below. Please meet with both an Education Adviser and a Chemistry Adviser to plan your program accordingly.
