Program Self-Assessment
-
- Alignment with and contributions to academic excellence – Describe and assess strengths and areas for improvement in:
- Majors, minors and certificates
- Comparison to similar programs at three or more peer institutions. WOU is in the process of re-establishing a list of peer institutions that will be used for both NWCCU comparisons and IPEDS comparisons. The proposed list of peer institutions is below; however, individual programs can choose peers for Program Review that are not on this list if there are better comparators for a specific program.
Western Oregon University has designated its peer institutions to include the following:
– Arizona State University – West (Glendale, AZ)
– California State University – Channel Islands (Camarillo, CA)
– Colorado Mesa University (Grand Junction, CO)
– Eastern Oregon University (La Grande, OR)
– East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (East Stroudsburg, PA)
– Emporia State University (Emporia, KS)
– Northwest Missouri State University (Maryville, MO)
– Shippensburg University (Shippensburg, PA)
– Southern Oregon University (Ashland, OR)
– University of Washington – Tacoma (Tacoma, WA)
If your program is interested in selecting other peer institutions with similar programs, the Institutional Research Office has provided instructions for identifying potential peer institutions: Guide for Selecting Peers
