Social Media
Want to be listed on WOU’s social media directory?t?
WOU’s social media directory lists officially recognized accounts for WOU departments and organizations. To be included in this list: 1) your account(s) must adhere to the following guidelines, and 2) email Brittany Kima kimab@wou.edu to be listed on the official directory.
If you have any questions about these guidelines, contact Brittany Kima, social media manager, in Marketing & Communication at kimab@wou.edu.
Why do you want to be in the directory?
The flagship WOU accounts only share/retweet content from officially recognized accounts listed in the directory. Also, it will be easier for people to find your accounts if you’re on the directory as the directory is prominently linked on the website.
What types of accounts qualify for inclusion in the directory?
Any social media account that represents a campus department, organization, group, club, or sport. The accounts must be managed by current WOU students, faculty, or staff. Personal accounts or fan accounts managed by non-WOU people will not be considered.
Will I ever be removed from the directory?
Accounts listed in the directory will be periodically reviewed to ensure they are following these guidelines. If the account no longer adheres to the guidelines, it will be removed from the directory and the account manager will be informed.

Brittany can help you identify a second employee.
- The account adheres to any and all social media guidelines and policies put forth by the Marketing & Communication office.
- Up-to-date account manager names and contact information will be provided to the Marketing & Communication office if the account managers change.
