The Fund for WOU is the recurring, unrestricted financial support given each fiscal year. Unrestricted gifts provide a crucial bridge between tuition revenue and the actual cost of running WOU, offering relief to the operating budget and very directly affecting students, faculty, and various programs on Western’s campus. Most importantly, unrestricted gifts from the Fund for WOU, regardless of size, allow WOU to respond to the school’s most pressing financial needs and concerns and provide flexibility for students and faculty alike. Support from WOU alumni, parents and friends benefit current students in continuing to reach their educational goals.
Why is your participation important? Your participation is fundamental to assuring a solid financial future for Western. A high percentage of giving by those closest to WOU- alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, and employees- demonstrates the importance of philanthropy at Western Oregon University. Your tax-deductible gift to the Fund for WOU will support and enhance the joyful learning environment students experience each day. With the generosity of those who faithfully support WOU, we are able to step forward boldly and plan for Western’s future. Every gift, whatever its size, is important and greatly appreciated.
The Western Oregon University Foundation exists to strengthen relationships and provide resources in order to serve and support the mission and vision of Western Oregon University
