Joined the board because…

As a new board member, I hope to pay forward some of the gifts of music and education to local communities who have provided my life with abundant opportunities.  Since I graduated from WOU (WOSC) in 1983, just after Rice Auditorium was built, this seems a fitting place to start.

Most Memorable SFAS Show

Taking my daughter to see The Eroica Trio in 2001 was definitely a memorable SFAS performance.  As a young violinist, my daughter was inspired by this talented ensemble. The small venue setting allowed us to experience the performers’ music as well as stories shared about their individual and collective journey as professional musicians.

Additional Interests

I belong to a family of foodies.  We love to cook and gather around a table to share great food and lots of laughter.  All of us enjoy traveling together and culinary adventures are sought at every destination. We often catch ourselves planning our next feast well before finishing the meal we’ve just prepared.
