Western Oregon University is an organization with strong values of responsibility and integrity. Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics contains general guidelines for conducting business with the highest standards of ethics.

Western Oregon University is committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception. We want you to feel comfortable in approaching your supervisor or management in instances where you believe violations of policies or standards have occurred.

If you are aware of fraud, waste, or abuse occurring within Western Oregon University, we want to know about it. You can report concerns to campus management or through the Western Oregon University hotline. The hotline is a confidential and anonymous reporting system operated by an independent, third-party vendor.

Employees who identify themselves and make a good faith report of suspected fraud, waste, or abuse are protected from retaliation in accordance with State Whistleblower Protection Law (ORS 659A). For employees who report, Western Oregon University will take steps to maintain confidentiality to the  extent possible under law. Concerns may also be reported to the Secretary of State Audits Division by visiting http://fraud.oregon.gov or by calling 1-800-336-8218.

Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
