Conducting our second two-day BJA pilot training in Albuquerque, New Mexico hosted by the Isleta Tribal Police Department. The participants are engaged, and a wide range of represenatives are in attendance. The course concludes tomorrow and the police department has been an excellent host.

Alaska “Pilot” Training Anchorage

This has been a great class and participants are engaged in learning more about State and Tribal Collaborations. Today they are learning about PL-280 and discussing the impacts on Alaska Native Villages. Participants will also be participating in the Gap Analysis Process as they work on emerging issues facing their Alaska Villages and jurisdictions.

Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
