The Jazz program at WOU gives students the opportunity to learn and develop while studying all forms of jazz and commercial music. The program offers something for students at all experience levels. Student ensembles perform on campus, at venues such as The 1905 in Portland, the Taproot Lounge in Salem, headline jazz festivals, and perform at high schools and colleges throughout the Pacific Northwest. Guest artists and clinicians have included Adam Larson, John Raymond, Cuong Vu, Victor Barranco (US Army Blues), Gretta Matassa, and Scott Wendholt.
