Oral History Transcription Resources at Hamersly Library
Students and faculty have access to Start-Stop Professional Transcription Software packages in rooms 221 HL and 222 HL, the Digital Media Center. The rooms are available for scheduling by contacting the library information desk at 503 838 8899 or via live chat with the library. Students should bring in an audio file (such as .mp3) on a USB drive or may access it on their campus H drive. By using the software students can adjust the speed of playback and can start and stop the audio file at intervals to type the transcription into a word document. Foot pedals regulate operations. Earbuds or headphones suggested.
