Western Oregon University is now utilizing an online auction service to sell our surplus
items. Facilities Services collects campus items that are deemed no longer in use or
that have been replaced yet still retain some value. These online auctions are open to
all WOU students, staff, faculty as well as the general public. Throughout the year
various items will be posted with photos and descriptions of the items. Potential bidders
will need to make an account for free on PublicSurplus.com

Items that we post on the auction website at Facilities Services will only be available for
purchase through this auction site. The items for sale will be sold as is, and those who
decide to bid on an item can make an appointment to inspect the item. Western Oregon
University staff cannot take or purchase any items for personal use prior to being
published on the public surplus site.

All transactions for the items must be paid for with credit cards or wire transfers handled
by the public surplus website, not Western Oregon University. Western Oregon
University will under no circumstances accept cash, cards, money orders, etc. on the
premises. The person with the successful bid must submit a payment to the site within
five (5) days. If payment is not received, the item will go back up for auction.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from Western Oregon
University. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award.
The successful bidder is responsible for making an appointment for pick-up. Items will
not be given out without an appointment. The notice of award, payment receipt, and
personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be
released. All sales are final. Public Processing will notify the buyer of payment receipt
via email.

Shipping arrangements, and/or arranging for the pickup of items won are the
responsibility of the buyer. The successful bidder will be solely responsible for all
