The Sociology Program

The program provides a strong educational foundation for graduate study and various professional careers. This includes training in writing, research, and analysis, all connected to the development of theory and social science. It is also a goal of the department to train and motivate students to be activists in the service of progressive causes.

The sociology faculty are committed to the development of students’ critical and analytical abilities.
