Session Description
ID: 10
In this session, history majors completing their Senior Seminar (History’s capstone project) will present aspects of their Senior Thesis or Senior Internship projects. There are 8 History majors engaged in the Senior Seminar process during the 2025-2026 academic year. One student is engaged in an internship project with the City of Monmouth; the other seven students are developing theses based on individual research projects. In addition, five WOU students (both History Majors and non-Majors) participated in the annual Northwest Regional Phi Alpha Theta (National History Honors Society) conference, hosted by Gonzaga University, in Spokane, Washington in April 2026, by presenting original research papers; two of these students will share their conference paper research. Student recipients of the History Essay Prize, the History Major Achievement Scholarship, the Senior Research Grants, and new members of WOU's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the National History Honor Society, will also be recognized.
