Syllabus Statement:

Western Oregon University values diversity and inclusion; we are committed to fostering full participation for all students. Accommodations are collaborative efforts between students, faculty, and the Disability Services office.  Please notify your instructor if there are aspects of the instruction or design of this course that result in disability-related barriers to your participation. If you would like to apply for disability-related accommodations please contact the Office of Disability Services at: 503-838-8250, Academic Programs & Support Center (APSC) 405, ods@wou.edu

Additional statement regarding technology use in the classroom:

Electronic devices are not allowed in class unless I have received notification from Disability Services regarding an approved academic accommodation for a student.

Planning to show a video either during a class meeting or an event?

Please check that proper captions are available beforehand. If the captions are not present or not sufficient, please submit the Request Form or email the details of your request to odscaptioning@wou.edu at least one week in advance.

Manage Student Accommodations with ODS Instructor Access

Faculty are now able to view and manage student accommodation requests via ODS Instructor Access. The link is already embedded in your portal under “My Programs,” simply find and select “ODS Instructor Access (AIM)” to see an overview of accommodations needed in each of your courses, complete the Testing Agreement, and securely upload exams. NTT Instructors should contact UCS to add faculty resources, like ODS Instructor Access, to your Portal.
