Classroom Access

Accessible Furniture

ADA Furniture provides some support for persons with disabilities. Students with or without a documented disability can apply to ODS for accommodations related to ADA furniture. We may ask for documentation for specific furniture.

If you require padded seating or lumbar support for an event, please contact ODS. Faculty or staff who need ADA furniture for a classroom, please contact Human Resources.

Accessible Classroom

If a classroom’s size, location, or another feature is inaccessible, students are encouraged to work with ODS to ensure access. Please contact ODS if you notice an access issue, such as an accessible entrance or elevator is out of service.

Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
