Abbys House Main

The Jeanne Deane scholarship is a $1,500 scholarship we give out to 1-2 students each academic year.

Each winner is required to volunteer in Abby’s House for 5 hours each week during the academic year. The scholarship committee is comprised of the professional staff in Abby’s House as well as the Abby’s House Advisory Council

    Our Criteria

    • At least 90 credit hours
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Able to volunteer at Abby’s House a minimum of 5 hours per week each term throughout the academic year
    • Post graduate study allowed.

    Preferences:

    • Full time (12 or more credits per term)

    Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
    Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
