Grant Consultations

Dr. Vivian Djokotoe worked collaboratively with restorative justice programs across Oregon to guide them in grant-request processes for available funding under HB 2204, a 4-million-dollar grant that has been made available to restorative justice programs throughout Oregon. Dr. Djokotoe also worked with the writers of the rules that would govern the grants.

Research

All the faculty in the center are engaged in ongoing research and have welcomed three new graduate assistants to work collaboratively on faculty/student research projects.

Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
