is an interdisciplinary field with an applied focus. Sustainability is about the interrelationships between the social, environmental, & economic elements of a thriving human community. Students in this field gain knowledge and skills for making sustainability an integral part of organizations and institutions and for transforming broader social, political and economic relations between people and the environment.

What’s New?

We are no longer offering a Geography major or minor. If you have questions about how this may affect your program of study, feel free to contact any member of the Sustainability faculty. Check back here periodically for updates as we make changes to reflect our new configuration as the Department of Sustainability.
