The César E. Chávez Leadership Conference (CECLC), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is please to share the news that The Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges & Universities  has announced they will be covering one-half the cost of the 2016 CECLC College Fair registration fee for Alliance schools.  Alliance colleges and universities can now register online for the March 4th 2016 College fair.  A statement from The Alliance follows.

We have an opportunity again in 2016 to reach out to young people attending the César E. Chåvez Leadership Conference.  The 2016 conference will be held on March 4 at Western Oregon University.

The Alliance will again extend an offer to cover 50% of the registration fee for Alliance colleges and universities who participate in the 2016 CECLC.  The registration fee is $300 per college/university.  Click here for more information and to register.

This conference is open to Latino high school students from Multnomah, Washington, Marion, Polk, Yamhill, Linn-Benton and Clackamas Counties. The goal of the conference is to provide information, motivation and an opportunity for Latino students to gain skills to help them prepare for their future. This is the largest Latino high school student leadership conference in the state of Oregon. Last year approximately 1,500 students participated in this event. The conference schedule is from 8:00am-4:00pm, however the College/Career Fair will run from 10:00 am-2:00 pm including a lunch break. The College/Career Fair will be one of the sessions that students will be REQUIRED to attend.

It is our goal to see Oregon private, nonprofit higher education well represented at the 2016 César E. Chávez Leadership Conference.
