Why I chose WOU

The close-knit community. I love the passion WOU has for its students. I am in awe of the unwavering support and that every single decision that is made is made with students in mind. The daily contact I have with a great variety of people-students, co-workers. It is a pleasure to work with students throughout their college careers and see them graduate and go out to conquer the world. That is very inspiring and so rewarding. I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given! Thank you WOU!!

Spending time with my family, traveling, volunteering at my church, swimming, dancing, watching soccer and learning to cook a new recipe.

Fun fact

I have been blessed to travel to Holyland twice on a pilgrimage. In 2017 with my mom and in 2023 with husband for our 20th wedding anniversary.

Favorite book/movie

Favorite movies: Disney's Coco I love the message. It teaches family values. Disney Car's I love how it teaches you to do the right thing. (Yes I have kids)

Areas of responsibility

Managing work orders, facilitating communication with other departments, outside relations, and much more.

Western Oregon University’s Land Acknowledgement
Western Oregon University in Monmouth, OR is located within the traditional homelands of the Luckiamute Band of Kalapuya. Following the Willamette Valley Treaty of 1855 (Kalapuya etc. Treaty), Kalapuya people were forcibly removed to reservations in Western Oregon. Today, living descendants of these people are a part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz Indians.
