Why I chose WOU

I am an Alumni from WOU. I have been in mentoring/leadership positions throughout my career. One of the many things I enjoy is being able to create long lasting relationships with community professionals, as we work towards the same goal; A better future for our children. The Research Institute is actively working towards this goal and I am happy to be part of the efforts.

At WOU since

05/23/2022

Hobbies

I enjoy gardening and playing video games as a family.

Fun fact

I love horror movies.

Hometown

Mexico

Favorite book/movie

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Areas of responsibility

Onboard general state wide substitutes by working closely with the CCSO Onboarding & Payroll team, and providing ongoing support for substitues as they work within the program.

Education

Western Oregon Universtiy

Bachelor of Art-Social Sciences

Professional experience

Early learning experience and expertise from my prior work with the Marion & Polk Early Learning Hub.

Having the opportunity to learn side by side with each individual provider, attending to their specific needs and interests, strengths and concerns has equally been challenging and rewarding for me. I have extensive experience working with diverse populations and have a true passion for impacting underserved populations. I am bilingual/ bicultural and bring an underrepresented perspective to my professional roles.
