Professional experience
I began my teaching career as an elementary teacher in the Dallas School District 25 years ago, and most recently spent 5 years teaching full-time high school Math and Science classes for Chemeketa Community College (CCC). I teach part-time at CCC and returned to WOU in 2013. I currently teach full-time at WOU in the Division of Educational Leadership focusing maniny on Science and Math teaching methods for both elementary and secondary pre-service teachers and STEM for graduate students.
I love learning and continue to pursue new opportunities to expand my knowledge in the area of Teacher Education and STEM education. I enjoy the diversity of the populations I work in my various roles and hope to instill a love of learning in all my students. My husband and I have 6 children and 15 grandchildren. I love to travel and explore interesting geological sites around the world.
