Summer Academy Program

For many students, the six-week Summer Academy is the highlight of their Upward Bound experience. This program offers a taste of college life. Some students live in the residence halls, with a roommate, attending classes in university buildings and dining in the campus cafeteria. Others commute from home to attend classes.

Students participate in a variety of academic and extracurricular activities, including field trips to other colleges, and career, cultural, and recreational events. Students must follow all WOU and Upward Bound rules, as well as state and federal laws.

There is no cost to attend, meals are provided, and students may receive a small stipend for participation.
