TRIO Upward Bound, a college preparation program for eligible high school students, has been hosted at Western Oregon University since 1999. Eighty-one percent (81%) of program costs are financed with federal funds from the U.S. Department of Education ($309,505), and nineteen percent (19%) is financed by WOU with non-Federal funds ($70,325). The year-round program is designed to improve students’ academic success, support completion of a rigorous secondary school program of study, and increase the rate at which participants enroll in and graduate from college.
