The reason why you should be studying COMM is because it is something that everyone does every single day, if you are at work, home or wherever you might be. I have to admit that I didn’t choose this as a major my first year, or even my second or third year. The Communication program found its way to me.  I took my first communication class with Dr. Baldwin and I knew that I didn’t want to be anywhere else on campus but in this Communication Studies Program. The faculty and staff in the Communication Department really get to know their students and are all very approachable. I could meet with any one of them to answer any of my questions that I had regarding the department, classes, available resources on campus (like our Food Pantry) etc. There are so many Communication classes that I had to choose from and I never came across a class that I didn’t like. The skills and knowledge that you get from this Communication Studies program won’t only help you in your future job or career, but it will also teach you lots of communication strategies that you can use in any aspect of your everyday life. I want to say Mahalo Nui Loa to all the great faculty in the Communication Studies Department.
