Title III
The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Western Oregon University plays a key role in the Title III Retention and Student Success Project, which aims to improve student retention, reduce equity gaps, and increase students’ sense of belonging and purpose. Through this initiative, the CTL supports faculty development by providing the tools and resources necessary to enhance instructional design and student engagement.
Our consultation services and professional development offerings, such as Catalyst and Deep Dives, directly contribute to the project’s goal of increasing student engagement. By helping faculty integrate inclusive teaching strategies, effective technology use, and clearer course alignment, the CTL ensures that the educational experience is accessible and meaningful for all students.
Through collaboration, workshops, and continuous faculty support, the CTL is instrumental in achieving the Retention and Student Success Project’s objectives, contributing to lasting, equitable academic experiences at WOU.
