MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon University will once again hold its annual homecoming week, a tradition that brings alumni, students, and the community together for a fun-filled week of festivities and school spirit. This year’s homecoming week begins on October 13 and concludes on October 18.
Homecoming Events
Monday, October 13
- Paint the Town Red on Monmouth Main Street, hosted by the Associated Students of Western Oregon University from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Poster Invasion: Pop-Up poster sale on the Werner University Center Plaza, hosted by Student Engagement from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, October 14
- Poster Invasion: Pop-Up poster sale on the Werner University Center Plaza, hosted by Student Engagement from 9 am to 5 p.m.
- Paper Airplane Tournament in the WUC Summit, hosted by Student Conduct from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Brew and Brush at Luna’s Cafe on Main Street, hosted by Student Engagement from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Wednesday, October 15
- Poster Invasion: Pop-Up poster sale on the Werner University Center Plaza, hosted by Student Engagement from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Homecoming Carnival in the Grove, hosted by Student Engagement from Noon to 3 p.m.
Thursday, October 16
- Clubs and Organizations Fair in the Grove, hosted by Associated Students of Western Oregon University, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- Dice and Doodles in the WUC downstairs lounge, hosted by the Residential Hall Association from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, October 17
- Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Dinner in the WUC Pacific Room from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- A Taste of College Night – Yang’s Reunion at Yang’s Teriyaki from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Class vs Class Volleyball Tournament in the Health and Wellness Center, hosted by Student Activities Board and Campus Recreation from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Homecoming Bonfire on the field by Public Safety at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 18
- Student Leadership Reunion in the WUC Willamette Room from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Homecoming Football Game and Tailgate at McArthur Stadium. Tailgate starts at 11 a.m. The game starts at 1:05 p.m.
- Softball Slow Pitch Alumni Game at the Softball field at 10 a.m.
- Jack Morton Memorial Lobby Reunion in the Welcome Center from 10 a.m. to Noon.
- Men’s Rugby Game: Under the Lights at the Turf field at 6 p.m.
