  1. I’ve recently discovered this captioning tool. Wondering if you or your community have had any experience with it …. I’d like to find a tool that can automatically convert the audio to text, allow us to edit and then upload.

  2. Shelly, Sorry not to see your comment sooner. There are web sites that will allow you to easily convert an .mp3 file into a video that can be uploaded to YouTube. In most cases, but for some reason not all, when a video with spoken content is uploaded to YouTube, YouTube attempts to transcribe the spoken content into text and it adds it to the video. Once that has been done, you can then copy the URL to the newly created video and paste it in the first edit box on the DIYCaptions home page at which point you can correct the errors, then change the right-hand display to plain text, at which point you can copy that text to the clipboard to take it wherever you need it from that point.
