In 2020-21, Dr. Swedo begins her eighth year as a member of the History Department faculty at Western Oregon University. This year, she will instruct the following courses in Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters:

• World History survey: HST104 and HST105 from the 3-course sequence (New Gen Ed: Exploring Knowledge: Social, Historic, and Civic Perspectives)

• Medieval European History courses: HST449 The Late Middle Ages (Fall 2020) HST400 The Viking World (Winter 2021), HST452 Medieval Women and Gender (Spring 2021),  (New Gen Ed: Integrating Knowledge: Citizenship, Social Responsibility, and Global Awareness category)

• Honors History course: HNR105 Historical Roots of the Contemporary World (Spring 2021), a new course in the Honors Program’s Core curriculum

• History Senior Capstone sequence: HST420 Philosophy of History (Winter 2021), required for graduating Senior History Majors
