The Lafayette Debates are opening an online competition in French for French-speaking debaters! Debaters are asked to reply in French to the affirmative speech on the 2015 Lafayette Climate Debates topic.
“Tous les Etats ont l’obligation d’anticiper, prévenir et limiter les causes du changement climatique, et d’atténuer ses effets néfastes.”
Competitors may reply to the opening speech in either the affirmative or the negative. They will be judged on the strength of their arguments and contribution to the discussion raised by the opening speech, as well as their speaking and multimedia presentation skills
The authors of the best 3 speeches in French will be rewarded with a participation in “LabCitoyen” 2015: a trip to Paris, France from July 5th 2015 to JULY 15th 2015, including a prestigious activities program, all expenses paid.
