General Directions Assessment

GENERAL DIRECTIONS (for each vocabulary term)

1) Give the Definition or Formula
For each vocabulary term or formula, write out the definition of the term or give the formula. If you are giving a formula, define your variables (e.g., don't write just A = b x h, write Area = Base x Height or A = b x h, and define A = area, b = base and h = height).

You have three options to fill in the vocabulary sheets:

1. Print the vocabulary sheets. Write neatly and clearly the definition of each term. A simple sketch (picture) is required for each term unless specified by: NO PICTURE. For terms that require a sketch; draw a simple and labeled sketch of the item you are defining.

2. Download the Microsoft Word version of the document. Look for each term on the Internet and copy and paste that in for the defintion. You can then either draw the well-labeled pictures or download a sketch of the term.

3. You can try to get lucky and remember all the defintions and pictures. I think this is a bad idea since you will have to give the EXACT definition and a clearly labeled picture on the quizzes.

ASSESSMENT

On your in-class quizzes, you will be asked to fill in the definition / picture for 1 - 2 terms. Each term will be worth 2 points on the quiz (If a picture is required, 1 point will be given for the definition and 1 point will be given for the picture).
